Love Gives Us a Fairytale

Check out this week's Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. Fabulous, no?

Here are the DEEtails:

I started with a Riding Hood Red card base and added a strip of Rich Razzleberry Striped Grosgrain ribbon, which I ruffled on one side. Then I layered a heart doily and a sentiment from SU!'s Full of Life set, stamped in Basic Gray ink on Rich Razzleberry with a Certainly Celery mat, along with a Rich Razzleberry Satin Ribbon flower with a couple of leaves punched from the Bird punch, tucked underneath. Hope you like it!

Happy Birthday Andy!

Today is my brother, Andy's birthday. I spend so much time with my other brothers, that I often feel like I neglect Andy and Joey, my brothers who live on the other side of the world... Today, I want him to feel special, so I made an extra special card for him. I hope he likes it!
Here are the DEEtails:
I started with some paper tape from Making Memories and added some rounded corners. It layered perfectly onto some Bordering Blue card stock. Then I added some So Saffron Striped Grosgrain ribbon and some rolled Riding Hood Red candles (I think they kind of look like dynamite, my hubby thought they were cinnamon sticks...) and So Saffron and Apricot Appeal flames. Finally, I stamped the SU! A Little Birthday Cheer sentiment over and over again on a Decorative Label punch.

Happy Lavendar Thoughts

Here are the DEEtails:
This card actually evolved over time. It started simply with a strips of various ribbons from my stash across a Going Gray back ground and a sweet sentiment from SU!'s Apple Blossoms set in the corner. I gave it a Basic Gray mat for a little definition and called it a day. I came back to it the next day and felt like it needed more, so I pulled out some purple flowers and scattered them on the card, not quite ready to commit. Later that evening, I was playing around with some of my embellishments and found some acrylic pieces from Making Memories. I loved the way this little postage stamp border looked overlapping my ribbon and framing my flowers. I adhered the flowers with some mini glue dots and added some Rhinestone Jewels. Voila! Hope you like it!
