I'm sure you've seen lots of ombre and ruffle inspiration all over the blog-o-sphere. Today I've taken that inspiration and captured it in a card. I started with strips of card stock in shades of pink (Rose Red, Melon Mambo, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, and Pink Pirouette). I cut strips of White Waffle Paper and attached them to my pink strips to make some pretty ruffles. Then I layered the pieces onto a card. I punched some hearts using the Heart to Heart punch and scattered them onto my card. Isn't it fun?

Sending Extra Love Your Way

Happy Sunday friends! Here's my card for this week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. I love these sweet cupcakes that are our inspiration this week! :)

Here are the DEEtails:

I paper pieced the cute little bear from Stamp Fairy (it's a little hard to tell in the photo, but each body part is a separate piece). Then I punched a Pink Pirouette heart and tucked it under her arm. Then I made a cute little bow with some Pink Pirouette Taffeta ribbon. Then I attached her to a Crumb Cake card with some Stampin' Dimensionals. The inside of my card bears the message, "Sending Extra Love Your Way" from SU!'s Messages for Mom and a little Pink Pirouette heart, punched from the Owl Punch.

Thanks for peeking in today! Don't forget to play along with my I {Heart} Ribbon Challenge - Just add a heart and some ribbon!

Then I added a pretty doily and a strip of Very Vanilla DSP. I added some die cut hearts in Pale Plum and Bashful Blue. I tied one heart up with some Linen Thread to finish things off. Hope you like it!

Big Flower

Hi there! Just dropping in for a quick hello to share my card for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

I'm really excited because starting this month, I am the inspiration selector for the challenge -which you know is a job that I love! I think I'll need to come up with a cute little title for myself :) Haha. This week, I selected this cake and cuppies to compliment the cute little image above.

Here are the DEEtails:

The sweet girl is from Sassy Cheryl's, which is a new sponsor for Cupcake Inspirations. I printed her out and colored her in with my Stampin' Write Markers and my Blender Pen. Then I matted her on some Melon Mambo card stock and adhered her to a Tempting Turqoise card that had been embellished with some ribbon - Melom Mambo Scallop Dots Ribbon and some Purple Satin ribbon from my stash. Hope you'll play along with us!

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge

Hello dear friends! Today I'm sharing my card for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. This challenge is super easy - just add any red!

Here are the DEEtails for my card:

I started with a simple Crumb Cake card stock and added some ribbon - Cherry Cobbler Scallop Polka Dot ribbon, Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon, and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon. I pleated some of the ribbon for some added texture and interest. Then I die cut a tag from the Lots of Tags die cuts from some Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the cute sentiment from SU!'s Friendly Phrases in Early Espresso. I attached a very vanilla button tied with some Linen Thread for the final touch.

I used some fun Stampin' Up! supplies here, but feel free to use your favorite supplies to create your card or project for the challenge. Remember you have two weeks for this challenge so have fun crafting!
