Pantone Color Challenge

Hi there! Naki recently found a fun new challenge at Winnie & Walter. I'm always up for a good challenge, so of course I played along. The challenge was to use your own color combination from the Spring 2015 Pantone Colors to create a project. I decided to use Tangerine Orange, Strawberry Ice, and Scuba Blue.

DEEtails:

I struggle to make one layer cards - something about stamping directly onto the card scares me a little. But I stamped away on this card using the the scribbly flower images from Snuggles and Smooches and a bunch of little sequin images from Big Bang Bling. The next best thing to sequins is sequin stamps, right? Who are we kidding? We can't let this card go without some sequins... I added a few stars from Studio Calico and the lovely sentiment die cut from the Scripty Words dies. A few layers of colored cardstock and I was done. What do you think?

Paper: Neenah Solar White 80# Cardstock, Silver Foil Sheets, Strawberry Slush Cardstock, Tangerine Tango Cardstock
Stamps: Big Bang Bling (Winnie & Walter), Snuggles and Smooches
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise
Embellishments: Star Sequins (Studio Calico)
Tools: Scripty Words Die Set (Your Next Stamp)

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 298

Hi there! I hope you are having a lovely day! I'm here today with a fun card for today's Cupcake Inspirations challenge.

This week we are being sponsored by Your Next Stamp. One lucky reader will receive a $15 gift certificate to YNS.

Here are the DEEtails for today's card:

I love this fun patterned background from the Stacked with Love DSP Paper Stack. I stamped some of those swirls from Snuggles and Smooches that I love so much and embossed them in black. Then I die cut some Basic Black Cardstock with the Half & Half Die from Papertrey Ink and layered on the sentiment, die cut with Hand Lettered Thanks from WPlus9. I am so loving this die! The final touch was the Sparkly Pink Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp, which I am just loving! I think I'm going to go back and buy a bunch more of these in lots of different colors! If you win this week's gift card, I highly recommend spending it on Gumdrops! Hehe :)

Pink and Gold Thanks

I just got a bunch of new goodies from Stampin' Up! They currently have their Occasions catalog out along with their Sale-A-Bration promotion, which means lots of fun new stuff and some great deals! As soon as I opened up my box, I was inspired to make some new cards, so here's one that I made last week...

DEEtails:

The Snuggles and Smooches stamp was a last minute pick for me. I don't think it showed up in any catalogs, so I don't know that it was well advertised. I saw it, sort of by accident and threw it in my cart at the last second. I'm so glad I did because I sort of love it! As soon as I saw the stamp set, I grabbed my Gold ink and started stamping! Aren't those swirls just beautiful? I used a left over strip of Gold Soiree DSP and feathers from the card I made for our Double Dare Challenge. Apparently my desk needs to be cleaned up because I have lots of random left overs scattered on it! Then I die cut the sentiment from the new Hello You thinlits. It's impossible to tell, but I used the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP, which is fabulously fun and layered it onto some foam for a little dimension. Of course I had to tuck in a little doily for an extra feminine touch. Love it!

Paper: Blushing Bride Cardstock, Gold Foil Sheets, Gold Soiree DSP, Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP, Whisper White card stock
Stamps: Four Feathers, Snuggles and Smooches
Ink: Metallic Silver Encore ink
Embellishments: doily (Wilton), fun foam
Tools: Feathers Thinlits, Hello You Thinlits
