Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge

It's time for another Pals Paper Arts Challenge! I hope you're ready :) This week's challenge features a great sketch from our fabulous, Margaret Moody. Check it out:

Here are the DEEtails for my card:

I'm so loving Summer Starfruit! I honestly thought it would be my least favorite In Color, but I can't get enough of it! In the photo above, it's taken on a more greenish hue than in real life. Anyway, I started off stamping my card with Hello Doily in some VersaMark ink and embossed in white. Then I added a strip of Soft Suede with bit of Summer Starfruit punched with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Punch and tied up with some Linen Thread. In the top corner, I added some layers of the smallest Label Framelit stamped with the swirl from Kindness Matters, along with the sentiment from the same set stamped on Summer Starfruit and matted with some Crumb Cake card stock.

Hope you like it! And don't forget to bring out your crafting goodies and link up your creation to Pals Paper Arts. I can't wait to see your creation! :)

June New Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals New Catalog Blog Hop - our biggest hop ever! The Stampin' Pretty Pals are excited to share some fabulous cards and projects showcasing our favorite products from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog! I'm the first stop on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for new Stampin' Up! products from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track.

First, let me point out the great Blog Hop Badge and Buttons that the fabulous Nicole Watt has created for us! Nicole used the new In Color, Summer Starfruit, along with DSP and embellishments from the new Keep in Touch Digital Content CD (item 127189), which is a hostess item that can be purcahsed for only $8 in Hostess Dollars! So fun, right?!

Okay, now for my project...

I just got my new goodies the other day and last night was the first time that I had the opportunity to play! I only had enough time to whip up a quick card, but I can't wait to create some more! My card today reminds me a little bit of a little county picnic. Love it!

Here are the DEEtails:
I started with some Comfort Cafe DSP, which I matted with some Basic Gray card stock and adhered to my Primrose Petals card. Then I used the Delicate Doilies die to create a doily in Basic Gray and a smaller one in Primrose Petals. I layered them on my card and stamped the sentiment from Friendly Phrases in Very Vanilla and tied on some Stitched Satin Ribbon in Primrose Petals. I added an Elegant Butterfly in Summer Starfruit and a little stamp created with the Lovely Little Labels set and the Little Labels Punch.

Want to see more great projects showcasing the fabulous new goodies from the new catalog? Hop over to Brian King at Stamp with Brian, stop number 2 on the Pals New Catalog Blog Hop and follow your way through the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for "hopping" by!

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge

It's time to play with PPA! Pals Paper Arts, that is! And we have an fun color combination for you this week...

For those of you who frequent the blog, you may know my aversion for red... Notice how I only put a tiny bit of it in my card. :) But it sure does pop!

Here are the DEEtails:

I started with some Whisper White card stock, which I die cut with the Tasteful Trim die to create a playful pattern on this card. I adhered my rick rack strips to a piece of Night of Navy card stock, which I trimmed to fit my card. Then I matted the piece onto a piece of Read Red card stock before adhering to my Night of Navy card. I stamped the sentiment from SU!'s A Word for You in Whisper White ink, then added a fun bloom that I made using the Blossom and Boho Blossoms punch and a Whisper White button. Voila! A quick and easy card with a whole lot of oomph! :)

Hope you enjoy it and I'd love for you to play along with this week's Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. Hop over to see what the other Pals have designed and post your creation too!

Under the Sea

Sorry I'm a little late for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. It has been quite a whirlwind of a weekend for us. We went home for my brother's graduation and ended up being surprised by my Auntie and Grandma, who came all the way from Hawaii! We extended our trip so we could spend a bit more time with the family, but it sure made for a busy weekend and things are crazy here as I try to get back on track!

My project today started out as a card, but I loved the image from A Day for Daisies that I just had to frame it! I'm hoping you like it too! I simply printed out my digital image and inked it with my Stampin' Write Markers and Blender pen. I love water coloring without the water colors! :) Come join us with this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and these cute inspiration cupcakes:
