Canvas Flower

Now that the holidays are over, it's time to make lots of thank you cards for all the fabulous goodies I got for Christmas! Oops! I just realized that I missed the deadline (what a way to start the year off!), but I just had to participate in the ColourQ Challenge. Check out the gorgeous scarf and you'll see why...

Here are the DEEtails:

I love the simple pop of of color on the mannequin in the inspiration photo, so I wanted a simple card to go along. I started with some scraps of canvas and my Scallops 2 Bigz Die to make my flower. It was a bit tricky to get my flower to crinkle and stay crinkled, so I tucked some smaller crinkled circles between my layers of canvas to give the flower some body. Then I added this pretty brad from my stash. I tucked some "leaves", made using the wings from my Bird Punch in Old Olive. I added my sentiment in the corner from PTI's Signature Greetings, then tucked a crinkled Eyelet Border under one side of my Basic Black card stock. I adhered everything to my Basic Gray card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Hope you like it!

Soaring By To Say Hi

I can't believe it's 2011! Today is the first of the New Year's Cupcake Inspiration Challenges! I hope you'll play along with this week's inspiration image.

Here are the DEEtails for my card:

I started stamping some Martha Stewart butterflies on vellum and cut them out. I layered them onto a second stamped image on Real Red card stock and folded the wings a bit. Then I added some Rhinestone Jewels to the centers. I tied a Real Red satin bow to a piece of Basic Black card stock and added a vellum tag, made from a Decorative Label punch and a stamped sentiment from PTI's Everyday Button Bits.

Special DEElivery:

This card is for sale at my Etsy Shop.
