I made a Mother's Day card for my Mom today. Here it is:
I really like Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketches. This week's sketch is no exception.
Here are the DEEtails for this card:
1. My mom loves pink, so I knew where to start with this card. I selected the striped background from the Welcome Neighbor DSP. I like how it brings in just the right amount of non-pink colors without being too much.
2. I chose Regal Rose for my pink today. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder to give it a bit of texture. I added a rounded corner with my punch to add a bit of softness.
3. Then I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the sentiment from my PTI Signature Greetings set using SU! Regal Rose.
4. I added some pink grosgrain ribbon from my stash.
5. And for that extra girly touch, I adhered a couple of Sweet Pea Stiched Felt pieces. I love it and I hope Mom does too!
Very classy! Love the pink!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the flower on this. It just works perfectly!
