Isn't this color combo wonderful? I had to make a card even though it's too late for this week's Color Throwdown.
Here are the DEEtails:
1. I'm usually one of the last on the bandwagon when it comes to purchasing new supplies. I ordered my embosslits Beautiful Wings from the Occasions Mini catalog at the last minute, but don't worry, they are still available for purchase. I punched several sets of butterflies in Barely Banana, Rich Razzleberry, and Pale Plum to make these pretty butterflies.
2. The Soft Suede sort of worked its' way in accidentally. I had run a piece of it through my Cuttlebug with my Swiss Dots embossing folder for my earlier project, but decided to go a different route and had this mat sitting on my desk. When I punched out my flowers, they landed on the Soft Suede and I couldn't resist.
3. I tied a pretty bow with some Old Olive satin ribbon, then adhered my Soft Suede mat onto an Old Olive backing. Then I adhered it all to a Rich Razzleberry card.
4. Then I randomly adhered my butterflies, using glue dots, arranging them from largest to smallest diagonally on my card.
5. I attempted to add some sort of sentiment, but the butterlies themselves were so pretty, they didn't need any words to describe them.
Hope you like it!
