Grateful Blooms

Here's another card from way back in September...

This bright and cheerful card was actually inspired by a cake! Too pretty to eat!

DEEtails:
I was excited to play with my new stamp set at the time, So Very Grateful. I stamped it on some Whisper White card stock, which I trimmed down and made into a tag with the Tag Topper Punch - so fun! Then I used my Stampin' Write markers to color in these beautiful blooms. I added a little Linen Thread to my tag and layered it over some DSP, Burlap ribbon, and Delicate Details Lace Tape with some Dimmensionals. Finally, I added the sentiment by stamping the polka dot pattern from Perfect Pennants in VersaMark ink on some Regal Rose card stock. I trimmed it down to make a little banner and added it right to my tag. Such fun little accents on this card!

Paper: Bermuda Bay card stock, Regal Rose card stock, Regal Rose Patterned Paper, Whisper White card stock
Stamps: Perfect Pennants, So Very Grateful

Good Thoughts

Hi there! Can you believe that November is coming to an end already? Wow!

Though I'm not quite back to fully crafting just yet, I've been playing around in my craft space again recently. I found a few cards that I had created back in September before I went to Hawaii and before everything crazy happened. It seems I never had a chance to post these, so I thought I'd share them now. Hope you like this one! :)

DEEtails:
Such a simple card really... Just a bit of DSP layered over a Basic Black card. I love this sentiment from the Perfect Pennants set and stamped it in Whisper White ink on some more Basic Black card stock. The flowers from Fabulous Florets are always a favorite, which I stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe on coordinating paper, cut out and layered with some Dimensionals. :)

Paper: Basic Black card stock, Crisp Cantaloupe card stock, Sweet Sorbet DSP
Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Perfect Pennants
Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White

Currently...

Guess who!?! Bet you weren't expecting me to pop up here! Don't worry, I promise I am taking it easy and following doctor's orders! Believe it or not, even though I'm still in quite a bit of pain, I'm feeling so much better than I was a month ago. I don't know how to describe it, but I just feel different. It's hard though because I actually feel like I want to do stuff now but my body isn't quite ready yet!

I want to thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers recently! You guys are absolutely amazing and always overwhelm me with your LOVE! :) And you are so right... what the heck am I doing working about blogging when I need to focus on taking care of me?!? Well, I love you guys, and that's why I have to blog! Hahaha! So although I'm not up to much these days, here's this month's edition of "Currently..."

WATCHING: Catching up on lots of fun movies that my hubby bought for me for recovery including Saving Mr. Banks, Maleficent, and Mr. Peabody & Sherman.

LISTENING: to lots of Pandora... My favorite stations are Sara Bareilles & Lenka Radio

EATING: Olive Garden Minestrone. And lots of it! The people at the restaurant know us! Hahaha!
My hubby is trying to perfect the copycat recipe so he doesn't have to keep going to the restaurant... It's close, but just not quite right. If anyone has any tips, please share!!!!

DRINKING: lots of Powerade! One of my medications makes water taste like rocks (Yuck!) so I've been trying to stay hydrated with Powerade.

WEARING: comfy sweats. hehehe

MAKING: not a whole lot... dabbling a bit here and there, but I still can't do a whole lot yet.

PLANNING: for some company over the holidays. My mom is visiting for Thanksgiving and my dad is coming for Christmas. Ummm.... the problem is that this place is in no shape for having visitors! Yikes!

TRYING: not to go stir crazy! hahaha

WANTING: to be able to do a bit more...

FEELING: grateful that all went well with surgery. Just a few minor hiccups with recovery, but everything is looking really good so far!

ENJOYING: the long and lazy days... I know this time is going to go quickly, so I'm trying to savor it!
