The Hope Stamps Eternal blog hosts a weekly cupcake challenge. This week's photo had a neat mix of colors and I knew I wanted to play along!
Here are the DEEtails:
1. The fluffy frosting on this cupcake looks so yummy! I created my frosting by using my Bigz Scallop Circle #2 die, my Scallop Edge punch and Barely Banana card stock. I added some sparkle with my blender pen dipped in VersaMark, then sprinkled with some sparkly embossing powder.
2. I topped my cupcake with some pretty ribbon, a jumbo brad, a felt flower and a little pearl. My ribbon had three rows of stitching. I gently pulled both sides of one thread to create a ruffle, then tied the ends together. I added my brad and other embelishments, then adhered it to my cupcake.
3. The bottom of my cupcake is Kraft card stock, covered with a piece of acordian folded Vellum paper. I added a piece of ribbon and created an Apricot Appeal tag, stamped with the sentiment from my Happy Moments set.
4. Everything was adhered to my Tempting Turquoise mat with Stampin' Dimensionals. The cupcake top folds up to reveal a secret pocket for a special birthday treat!
5. I added a Barely Banana mat adhered to my Apricot Appeal tag. What a fun color combination!
Hope you like it! Thanks for looking!
I really like how you recreated the flower! Great card! Thanks for playing along with the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge!

ReplyDeleteJawdropping. You are doing a fabulous job with challenges and creating fresh new ideas. I love the kraft/vellum cupcake base. I wonder if the folding would work with a Crimper? Probably not as crisp as yours. Bravo! Hugs, M
