As you may know, I love birds. So the idea of love birds and a nest egg popped into my head when I thought of a baby card. Here's my DEEsign:
Here are the DEEtails:
1. I created the baby card for the current Caardvarks challenge and wanted a gender neutral color palette. I love green and brown! I started off with some AC patterned paper in the Letterbox series and my Stampin' Up! Top Note die. It's a perfect backdrop for my love birds!
2. I punched the birds using my favorite tool - the bird punch in both Certainly Celery card stock for the body and some AC patterned paper for the wings.
3. I punched one more bird wing from the floral patterned paper and cut the tip of the wing to create an egg shape.
4. Then I used some ribbon from my stash to create a sort of nest. This was fairly easy to do.
5. Believe it or note, I hand cut the hearts because I didn't have the right size heart punch. I think they turned out pretty good.
Hope you like it!
Awesome! How did you get the nest of ribbon to attach? It's such a perfect New Baby card. Great design girlie

ReplyDeleteThat is just perfect for my new little grand-nephew. I love the way you used those green/brown combos that are so popular right now, too.
