Baby Onesie Card DEErections

Here are the measurements for my baby onesie card featured here.

In this tutorial, the blue areas show the areas of the card that are cut away.

1. Start with a card, measuring 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" with the fold at the top of the card. If you want your onesie to be patterned, adhere a piece of DSP to the front of your card.

2. While keeping your card folded closed, cut away the space under the arms of your onesie as indicated by the blue sections in the diagram below. Then cut the hole for the head and legs, using a 1 1/4" circle punch.

3. To attach the "snaps", cut a strip of card stock or DSP, matching the onesie background measuring 2 1/4" x 1/2". Punch holes and attach brads. I placed mine at about 3/8" from the bottom, 5/8", 1 1/8", and 1 5/8". Then I added a 1/8" strip of card stock in a contrasting color.

4. I added a scalloped trim around the edge of my card, which is optional, using the scallop circle punch and scallop edge border punch in a contrasting color.

5. Then embellish your onesie as you wish.
