Masked Butterfly
The Pals Paper Arts challenge this week is a technique challenge! I decided to try masking, which is a great way to make a one layer card. You know how I love my layers... I managed to keep this one single!
Here are the DEEtails:
I wanted to try the technique out with something pretty simple since this was my first time. I chose the butterfly from SU! Great Friend and stamped it in Lucky Limeade on a Crumb Cake card. Then I stamped my butterfly on a Post-It note and cut it out. I used the Post-It to mask my butterfly and stamped the SU!'s Woodgrain over it in Very Vanilla ink. Then I stamped my sentiment from SU!'s You're a Gem in Early Espresso (it's a vertical stamp, but I stamped it horizontally to fit my piece of Hodgepodge Hardwarde). I tied up my Hodgepodge Hardware with Linen Thread (lots of it!) and tied a simple bow. Love it! Hope you do too!
Don't forget to play along in the current I {Heart} Ribbon Challenge! A simple touch of Linen Thread or hemp (like what I used on today's card) is all you need!

Happy Birthday Auntie
Here are the DEEtails:
I started with a Wisteria Wonder card and cut half an inch off the side edge on the front of the card. I used the Tasteful Trim die to create a large scallop border with Concord Crush and added some Very Vanilla Taffeta ribbon along the straight side. I adhered it to my card to create a fun little edge. Then I stamped my sentiment from SU!'s Well Scripted in Concord Crush on Very Vanilla card stock. I added a Pink Pirouette mat and adhered it to the corner of my card. I pulled out SU!'s new Lace Ribbon Border punch to create my mini doilies. I embellished them with some Pearl Jewels and stuck them on my card with some Stampin' Dimensionals. Thanks for stopping by today!
Don't forget to play along with the current I {Heart} Ribbon Challenge! You've got one more week to join in on the fun!

Rainbow Love
Here are the DEEts:
I stamped the stems from SU!'s Hello Blossoms in Pear Pizzazz and added some fun rainbow flowers punched with the Itty Bitty Punches in Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, and Wisteria Wonder. I added a little Rhinestone Jewel to the center of each flower and matted it on some Soft Suede card stock that had been embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing plate. Then I stamped the sentiment from SU!'s Trendy Trees onto some Daffodil Delight card stock and created a little flag, which I framed with a bit of Daffodil Delight Grosgrain ribbon.

My Favorite Things
Hi friends! Today I'm trying out a sketch challenge over at My Favorite Things. Who doesn't love a sketch with a fabulous doily?! You know I can't resist. :)
DEEtails:
This card has lots of yummy layers of Melon Mambo and Early Espresso with a doily tucked inside! I added some fun Chocolate Chip Scallop Dots Ribbon (a new favorite from Stampin' Up!) turned upside down to hide the dots, and wrapped it with some Early Espresso Twine, tied up with a couple of Jewelry Tags. One was punched out of PTI's Dotty Biscotti Patterned Paper, the other stamped with SU!'s Tiny Tags. Then I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere SU!'s Fifth Avenue Floral Rose stamped on Dotty Biscotti. Love the look! Thanks for peeking in! Here's a close up of all those fabulous layers.

Birthday Fireworks
Yummy cupcake goodness for July 4th coming right up! :)
Here are the DEEtails:
I wanted to create fireworks for this card, so I pulled out that Flower Daisies #2 die again and cut out some petals in Poppy Parade, Tempting Turquoise and Vellum. Using just a single layer of each size creates a fire work look. I love it when a die can be multipurposed! I added a sentiment from this week's sponsor, Glitterbabe in the center of my main firework and rhinestone brads in the other ones. I wish I had a bigger piece of bling to add to the center, but this will have to work. Hope you like it! :)
Be sure to play along with this week's I {Heart} Ribbon Challenge! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Polka Dotted Thanks (And a Lucky Winner!)
Here's my card for this week's Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World. The polka dots and ribbon are so cute. :)
Here are the DEEtails:
I used some fun polka dotted DSP from Tall Tales and the Neutrals Collection Patterned Papers Pack. I distressed my edges and added a piece of doily and some Bashful Blue satin ribbon. Then I stamped my sentiment from PTI's Signature Greetings set and added a fun flower made from a book page and adorned with a button from my stash, tied up with some twine.
Now, I know what you're really here for... :) The winner of the blog candy, right? Here we go!
Our big winner of the yummy goodies below is...
... Chris R. from Iowa who said "I guess anything you would want to share with us would be good! Who can't use more tutorials, techniques, and projects! Oh, share with us about the concerts though! We know you like ribbon and green but what else would you like to share with us!"
Yeah! Congrats! Chris, please e-mail me to claim your prize!
Thanks to all of you who participated. I do appreciate all of your wonderful comments. I promise the goodies that you requested will be coming up soon! I'm working on lots of fun stuff for the summer!
Papertrey Blog Hop
Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great start to your weekend! I'm excited to participate in this month's Papertrey Ink blog hop - something that I've been wanting to do for a while now... It's not always so easy since my PTI stamps are limited, but I jumped in this time since the challenge was an inspiration photo. You know how much I love inspiration challenges!
Here are the DEEtails:
Lots of color is usually pretty tough for me, so I went with a PTI Stamper's Select White card base. Then I layered my card stock to make a bit of a rainbow for the background. I use PS Chartreuse, PTI Lemon Tart, PTI Sweet Blush, PTI Berry Sorbet, PTI Raspberry Fizz, and PTI Spring Rain. I stamped the sentiment from PTI's Everyday Button Bits on a piece of PTI Berry Sorbet and layered it on over the rainbow. It sticks out just a tiny bit past the other colors. Next I created a little ribbon ruffle with SU! Pink Pirouette ribbon (I love all that ruffle in the inspiration from the dresses, that I had to incorporate it somehow). Then I punched some MS butterflies is SU! Brushed Silver and adhered them to my card with some glue dots. Thanks for peeking in!

Delightful Daisy
When the Flower Daisies #2 die first came out, I was a bit skeptical... But a couple months ago, I decided to make the purchase and have been waiting for the right moment to try it out. When I saw this week's Stampin' Celebration Challenge, I knew it was a perfect match! I'm so pleased with the result! :)
DEEtails:
It was fun experimenting with my die until I got the perfect look. I ended up with 4 big flowers, curled down, 2 middle flowers, curled down, and 2 small flowers curled up. The fullness of the flower in real life is fabulous. I decided to let the big blossom do all the talking and showcase it in the center of my card. I adhered it to some Whisper White card stock, matted with some Daffodil Delight and Regal Rose. Love it! Thanks for peeking in! :)

Birthday Stars
Today's simple card was made for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge - Stars. I know, it's been a while since I've been able to play along! I know I'm usually inspiration photo oriented, but this time I decided to go with a non-patriotic card so it would be a bit more versatile. (P.S. If you want a real interpretation of the inspiration pic, check out guest artist, Nicole Watt's card. Perfection!)
Here are the DEEtails:
I actually don't have a whole lot of star options in my supplies. I guess I'm more of a butterflies, hearts, and flowers kind of girl. :) When I raided my stash, I found these fun little button stickers and thought they would be a perfect touch to a clean and simple card. I started with a Daffodil Delight card, wrapped some Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain around it and adhered the sentiment from SU!'s Bring On The Cake stamped on new Lucky Limeade card stock. I actually tried to paper piece the letters in Birthday with some fun DSP, but my cutting blade wasn't very sharp and the letters became messy (can you guess what's on my wish list now?). It's a little on the boring side, but it will have to do. I strung up my buttons with some White Twine and adhered them to my card. I love the way the buttons tie all the colors together.

A Splash of Color
Yeah! I'm finally able to do a bit of crafting on a weekday! Here's my card for this week's CR84FN challenge. Can you tell I was inspired by that center pic? :) Lots of white with a little pop of color - Love it!
DEEtails:
I stamped the fun and frilly sentiment from SU!'s Swirls and Curls Verses (I'm loving this set!) in Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight ink. Then I added a strip of teal ribbon from my stash. I created my flowers by punching circles, rolling and separating the paper, then crumpling and adhering to my flower base. The flower centers were punched with SU!'s Itty Bitty Punches in Daffodil Delight and Peach Parfait. Then I tucked in a few leaves in Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzazz, punched with the Bird punch. I added a Daffodil Delight mat for a bit of extra color and adhered it to my Pool Party card (what a fabulous new color!) Hope you like it!

Simply Neutral
Today's card is for the current Off the Wall Craftiness challenge. I love working with neutrals! :)
Here are the DEEtails:
I stamped the gorgeous flourish from SU!'s Kind Thoughts in Very Vanilla ink and sentiment from PTI's Signature Greetings in Basic Black Ink. Then I added a strip of Kraft Taffeta ribbon and created a crepe paper flower with a Designer Button center, threaded with some Linen Thread. I added a Very Vanilla mat before adhering everything to a Basic Gray card. Hope you like it!

Bug Me Anytime
Happy Sunday! Here's my card for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. Aren't these cupcakes so cute?!
Here are the DEEtails:
I printed my image from this week's sponsor, Amber Ink, on Very Vanilla and Ruby Red cardstocks. I colored in the lady bug's legs and cut out the shell and spots which I adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I layered some Designer Series Paper Patterns in Pear Pizzazz, which I punched a scallop edge on and tied a Ruby Red bow. I layered a piece of Basic Black card stock, with another scalloped edge and adhered it all to a Ruby Red card.

Getting Ready for Summer (And Some Blog Candy)
Today I'm updating my Etsy shop and trying to clean up my crafting space. As you may already know, Stampin' Up! is getting ready to retire some well loved stamps and bring out some new goodies, so I'm trying to get reorganized for the change! Change is exciting! :)
As I was cleaning, I decided to pull together some blog candy for a lucky winner - a sort of a thank you for being patient with me during this busy time of year! One winner will receive ten 4"x6" sheets of Designer Series Paper Patterns (two sheets of five In Color patterned papers) three Thank You cards and envelopes (original posts of these cards are found here, here, and here), three yards of 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon (in Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, and Whisper White), Certainly Celery Classic Stampin' Spot, 12 clear Bitty Buttons (three each of four styles), 12 5/16" Neutral Brads (three each of 4 colors), and six On Board circle die cut pieces.
All you have to do is comment to this post sharing one thing that you're looking forward to seeing on my blog this summer - more cards? techniques and tutorials? brand new stamps? fun ribbon challenges? anything else? Your wish is my command! :)
One lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced on Saturday, June 25th. Comments must be posted by Saturday at Midnight (12:00am EST). Note: You must be a follower of my blog to be eligible to win.
But wait! There's more! For every 10 new followers I have, I'll add a new goody to the prize package! As of today, I have 72 followers, so there are 7 different goodies in the prize package. When I have 80+ followers, I'll add another goody... 90+ followers, something else... It'll keep growing as my fan base does! :)

Retirement Blog Hop!
Welcome to the June PALS HOP! This month, we're featuring one last look at some of the stamps and accessories that are retiring July 1 when the new Idea Book & Catalog (IB&C) debuts. Enjoy the HOP and take one last look at some of the amazing creations that the Pals have come up with.
You've likely hopped over from Mike Funke at Stampin-Style, I'm stop number 7 on the PALS HOP and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for paper crafted creations from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the PALS HOP LINE-UP below and you'll be back on track!
There are so many of my favorite stamp sets retiring this year. Retirement is always bittersweet for me. I'm sad to see favorites go, but excited to bring in the new! Today I'm featuring the stamp set, Party Hearty, which I recently purchased and haven't had a chance to use just yet. I was definitely bummed to see this set on the retirement list! I've created four different cards, all with a clean and simple look, that are quick and easy to create. But here's the kicker - I used ONE stamp for FOUR different occasions!
DEEsign 1: Birthday
DEEtails: Party Hearty is a fantastic birthday set, so I had to make at least one birthday card. Here, I created a gift card, with some simple party hats inked in Marina Mist, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped them on Whisper White card stock, matted with Marina Mist, and adhered it to a Pumpkin Pie gift card. I tied some Old Olive Taffeta ribbon, which I'm sad to see retiring, and added the sentiment to the bottom. This card can be customized by using party theme colors for the recipient. So fast, fun, and festive!
DEEsign 2: Congratulations - Baby Girl
DEEtails: This congratulations card was so simple to make! I simply inked up the party hats from the Party Hearty set (minus the pom pom tips) in some baby girl colors - Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight, and Baja Breeze. I tied bows on the ends of some white twine and used glue dots to keep them in place on my card. Then I cut out my party hats and adhered them to my twine to make a cute little bunting. I stamped the sentiment from Baby Steps for a simple and understated congrats card. This card can easily be adapted for a baby boy, birthday, graduation, and more!
DEEsign 3: Christmas
DEEtails: These party hats also make festive Christmas trees when stamped in Old Olive ink. Just draw in some trunks and you're good to go! I matted my trees with some Cherry Cobbler ink and adhered it to a long Old Olive card, tied up with some Early Espresso Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (another retiring ribbon). You can get fancy with your trees by coloring in those fun designs to create ornaments and trim or adding stars (just color in those party hat pompoms).
DEEsign 4: Father's Day
DEEtails: Here's an unexpected twist to that party hat! Turned on it's side, it makes a great flag for your favorite golfer. I added a strip of Crumb Cake card stock and punched a Basic Black hole for my green. Then I free handed the grassy areas, which I adhered to a Marina Mist card, then stamped the sentiment from Something to Celebrate This simple card can be adapted for any golf-lover's occasion by changing up the sentiment.
There you have it! Four cards with one stamp! Party Hearty has lots of fun stamps, but those party hats go the extra mile! :)

Fun Cupcakes
DEEtails:
This week's sponsor, Prairie Fairy, has some cute cupcake images, which I printed on card stock. I cut out the colorful cupcake liners in Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight, and one of Stampin' Up!'s new In Color, Lucky Limeade. Such a fun color! I colored in the fun sprinkles (do you call them sprinkles or jimmies?!) with my Stampin' Write Markers and added dimensionals to my white frosting. There's something about fluffy white frosting that I just love. :) I adhered my cupcakes to some Whisper White card stock, lined with some Lucky Limeade punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. I added some Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon (which is retiring!) to a Tempting Turquoise card. A perfect grab-n-go card for a birthday sweetie! :)

Delicate Doilies!
Hello! Today is the first day that I'm finally able to pull out some of my new Stampin' Up! goodies and play! I'm sharing a card that I made this morning for the Play Date Cafe Challenge.
DEEtails:
Today's card features the new Delicate Doilies set from SU! Just fabulous! You know how much I like a good doily. :) I inked them in various shades of purple - Pale Plum, Lace Lavendar, Orchid Opulence, Concord Crush - and scattered them across my Crumb Cake card. Then I added some purple ribbon from my stash and a PTI Limitless Layer die cut. I added a sentiment from SU!'s Great Friend, which is retiring. So sad. I love that set.
Can you believe that we still have 6 days of school left?! Ridiculous, right? I know. The kids (and teachers) are definitely ready for summer! It's been a crazy few weeks! The end of the school year is always a busy time for me, which explains my disappearance from the blog world. I'm hoping that once summer vacation officially starts, I'll be back to my crafting routine. :) In the meantime, you'll get to enjoy a blog hop this week, featuring retiring SU! sets and my usual weekend Cupcake Inspirations post. Perhaps if I'm lucky, I'll get a few extra posts snuck in here and there. See you again tomorrow for some yummy cupcakes! :)

Fabulous Friend
Here's my card that I made for the current challenge over at Jay Gee's Nook. What a fun inspiration board!
Here are the DEEtails:
This card was such fun to create! I started with a Crumb Cake card and added a piece of Pretty in Pink card stock, embossed with the PTI Diamonds impression plate. Then I added some sweet crepe paper that I recently picked up, wrapped with some Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon. Then I layered on an MS doily topped with lots of goodies, including a canvas covered dress form, some Pear Pizzazz leaves punched from the bird punch, a piece of Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding, some canvas flowers and a Crumb Cake button. Lastly, I tucked in a flag stamped with a sentiment from SU!'s Oval All set. Love the effect! Hope you had a great week! Thanks for popping by! :)

Sweet and Silver Cupcake
Happy Cupcake Sunday to you all! Have you checked out Cupcake Inspirations' new look?! It recently got a fabulous new makeover! Plus we added another batch of Sweeties! Be sure to check them out! Here's a sweet mix of purples and silver deliciousness from this week's challenge! :)
Here are the DEEtails:
I was immediately drawn to the silver cupcake lining and wanted to incorporate it in my card. I started off with some Brushed Silver card stock and stamped the cupcake liner image from SU!'s Create A Cupcake in VersaMark ink. Then I punched out the liner and fluffy cupcake top and assembled it with some Stampin' Dimensionals over some PTI Limitless Layers die cuts in Lovely Lilac and Very Vanilla. I added a strip of Almost Amethyst, stamped with a sentiment from SU!'s Bring On The Cake and matted with some Brushed Silver cardstock. I added some sweet blooms punched from the Itty Bitty Punches in Almost Amethyst, Lavendar Lace, and Lovely Lilac and topped with some Pearl Jewels.
