Today's card is for the Play Date Cafe Colour Splash Challenge.
Here are the DEEtails:
This card actually evolved over time. It started simply with a strips of various ribbons from my stash across a Going Gray back ground and a sweet sentiment from SU!'s Apple Blossoms set in the corner. I gave it a Basic Gray mat for a little definition and called it a day. I came back to it the next day and felt like it needed more, so I pulled out some purple flowers and scattered them on the card, not quite ready to commit. Later that evening, I was playing around with some of my embellishments and found some acrylic pieces from Making Memories. I loved the way this little postage stamp border looked overlapping my ribbon and framing my flowers. I adhered the flowers with some mini glue dots and added some Rhinestone Jewels. Voila! Hope you like it!
What a great use of ribbon! And I love the way you've framed your flowers with that postage stamp! Thank you so much for playing along with us, this week, in the Cafe!
