Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge

Well, hello there! I hope you're having a grand start to your new year! :) I am so excited to share our new Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge with you today!

We have some wonderful updates to the challenge this year, including brand new color combinations and sketches! I'm especially thrilled about our color challenges... I got to sit on the team to help pick out the color combinations and boy, are they fabulous! Plus, we'll have even more winners this year, with each Resident Artist selecting a winner each week! Yes, that means, I may just pick YOU as a winner! :) So you'll definitely want to play along!

Now, on to the DEEtails of my card...

I'm loving the look of chalkboard art and I've been dying to try out this tutorial by Betsy Veldman. I started with some Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed my sentiment from Oh, Hello and a striped banner from Hearts a Flutter from the new spring catalog with some VersaMark and white embossing powder. Then I added some smudges using a sponge dauber and some Whisper White ink. I added some lines with a white gel pen and matted the piece with some Melon Mambo. Then I stamped some hearts from Hearts a Flutter on some Melon mambo and Basic Gray card stock and hung them across my card with some white Baker's Twine. I adhered everything to a Basic Gray card to frame it out. I'm loving it!

Now won't you play along with us? Just create something lovely with this fun color combination and post it to Pals Paper Arts! Hope you'll join in the fun! :)
