Hello dear friends! :) Sorry that I've disappeared a bit... But I'm back for another challenge at Cupcake Inspirations! I'm quite excited about this beautiful color combination and this fun new sponsor!
These lovely metallic Gatsby inspired cupcakes are a perfect match with the fabulous metallic cardstocks at CutCardStock. They are giving away a $50 gift certificate, so you will definitely want to play along for your chance to win!
The DEEtails:
My plan to somehow mimic those striped cupcakes went to the wayside when I actually started working on this card. Instead, I used the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss some gorgeous gold foil cardstock, which I adhered to my Basic Black card. Then I layered on some Ice Gold cardstock that I die cut with a Piereced Rectangle die and matted on some more Basic Black cardstock. I some gold thread and some die cut feathers. I used the Fanciful Feathers die from WPlus9 and some Curious Translucent Gold cardstock along with some more Gold Foil. The sentiment is die cut from another WPlus9 die and stamped and embossed in gold on a little flag tucked under my feathers. Of course I added a little extra sparkle with some Gold Nugget gumdrops. Love them! And I'm loving this card!
Ink: VersaMark
Embellishments: Gold Nugget Gumdrops (Your Next Stamp), Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Gold Thread (DMC)
Tools: Fanciful Feathers Die (WPlus9), Hand Lettered Thanks Die (WPlus9) Pierced Rectangle Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things), Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
