DAY ONE: COLLEGE T-SHIRT DAY
dress: soffe from macys
I attended THE Ohio State University :) for both undergrad and graduate school, so I'm a pretty big fan of the school. Interestingly, I'm not a huge sports fan, so I never had OSU gear until after I graduated. Haha. My mom found this dress for me on clearance at Macys one day for something silly like $10. I'm not a huge fan of red, so a black polo style dress with red letters was not too flashy and for the price, it was pretty perfect. She told me I would need it one day and made me buy it. She was so right. I wear it whenever we win a big game, you know, like the championship game :) and when we have college week or sports day.
DAY TWO: COLLEGE PROFESSOR DAY
dress: jessica simpson from tj maxx / cardigan: loft / necklace: ?? it's older than dirt / bracelet: kate spade
I have no idea what professors wear even though I went to college for 6 years... Seems like they just wear normal clothes? So I went with normal clothes. haha. Funny cause I just told you I don't like to wear red and here I am on day two wearing a red dress. :)
DAY THREE: CAREER DAY
scrubs: medline (from the hospital) / cap: from the hospital / face mask: kimberly clark
All my time in the hospital last year finally paid off! Haha! Lots of people dressed in scrubs as doctors, nurses, dental hygienists, but I received lots of compliments for looking the most authentic. I have surgical scrubs as a sort of souvenir from the hospital. I had to wear them home because I couldn't wear normal clothes with the incision that I had. The cap is from my actual surgery and the gloves were from my IV treatments that I had at home over the summer. The face mask was from the school health room. I'm loving the Disney characters. You can't see in the photo, but my cap has little bears all over it, so I look a little like I work in a children's hospital. I had quite a bit of fun dressing up!
DAY FOUR: COLLEGE SPORTS DAY
I don't have any OSU sports gear, just the dress I wore on day one, a t-shirt and a long sleeved shirt. Since I'm still not able to wear jeans yet, I had to be really selective of what I wore since I wanted to make sure it covered up enough, if you know what I mean. :) I went with my University of Hawaii hoodie that I got during my trip to Hawaii in September. This Under Armour hoodie is my favorite hoodie style. It's more fitted, without that front kangaroo pocket, so it's a very cute style. And there are elbow patches! Who doesn't love elbow patches?!?
Fun fact: My step-dad went to UH.
Fun Fact #2: I've only ever been to one college football game. It was a UH game with my step-dad when I was 6.
So I guess it makes sense that I would wear Hawaii Warriors gear when we're dressing for college sports, since it's the only team I've ever rooted for in real life. Haha.
So that's it from last week! Back to normal boring clothes now... Do you ever have fun dress up days at work? It's one of the fun things I love about working at an elementary school.
